It was a fun summer and a fun birthday for my youngest daughter who turned 1 year old this 2nd day of August 2011 held at Rosal Beach Resort Gumasa Glan Sarangani Province. The beach was a perfect location for the celebration as we were the only customers who took over the place for the whole day. The white sand, peaceful beach, the resort's beautiful ambiance and the smell of fresh air made it extra special.

Our cottage is here (cottage 7) where all our things were all accommodated because of its wide area and the ceiling are beautifully made of weaved thin bamboo slats locally known as "Kalakat".

The beach has its own place for grilling your meats such as fish, chicken or whatever you like to grill. Just bring your own charcoal and you're ready to fire. Before we left home, I bought several kilograms of tuna belly, tuna panga, blue marlin belly and ready-to-fry sushi look crabs bought from Citra Mina (located at National high-way General Santos City) a store that specializes in tuna products and other affordable and very fresh fish meats.
THE HELLO KITTY BIRTHDAY PREPARATION
Few months away before Shaniah's birthday, I began buying Hello Kitty party favors for the kids every time I go to the mall. I mostly checked new arrivals from KCC and Gaisano mall's department store for anything that's Hello Kitty. Luckily I found a lot of items at Gaisano Mall of Gensan. The last time I went there, I was hopeless in getting the items in my checklist but lucky me there was a lot to choose from after a week. Sadly I couldn't take some pics of them as it is prohibited according to the mall's rules.You might be wondering why I bought them so early? Because if I bought all of these one at a time then I will surely lost budget. The reason why I bought them ahead of time is because I could be only focusing for the other preparation and other things that needs to be prepared on the same day of the party such as foods, drinks and cake. So, I didn't' have to worry of what party favors to buy and I had enough time in advance to prepare for it and made it something more attractive even I had to lessen the budget for the preparation just to make the kids enjoy the day.

Bought from KCC Mall of GenSan the Hello Kitty party favors for the kids such as Hello Kitty 3D eyeglasses, Hello Kitty erasers,Hello Kitty pencils,Hello Kitty rulers,Hello Kitty ball pens, and Hello Kitty stickers.
Hello Kitty souvenirs for the adult visitors made from wood material. It is very cute to add up to your souvenir collections or make it as part of your home decors. Bought from Gaisano Mall in General Santos City for only $6.00 for one set (6 pieces) or you can buy single piece for only $1.00 each.
Here's what other items I found at Gaisano mall's "Party Section". The ideal party favors to give for the kids are drawing books, notepads and ball pens that can be useful for kids who goes to school or they can enjoy art at home.

So the above photos are the party favors. Now, here's the additional tip to have a personalized giveaway loot bags for the kids. I didn't buy a ready made one made of plastic material because it is very common to use plastic loot bags. So what I did is that I bought a 20 sheets (1 set ) of plain carnation pink construction paper and made it as a 20 pieces loot bags.To make one if you wanna try at home , just get a used small sized paper bag then disassemble to measure the sides to fold and you can use its measurement to apply the same size for your loot bag.
Here's how it should look after you pasted and folded each sides. I used a back-to-back (double purpose tape) and not a glue to avoid wetness and damage to the paper. And I also used the tape's white cover as the loot bag's handle.
AAfter that I used some Hello Kitty stickers and pasted them on each bag's front and wrote "Shainee @ one" for a personalized look loot bags.
And here is the final touch. I put a stroke on each words to make it colorful and more attractive to the kids. I added a Hello Kitty stamp mark on the top to make it look more related to Hello Kitty. I put the 3d eyeglasses, rulers, erasers, and assorted Hello Kitty candies and lollipops inside the loot bags.

THE CAKE AND CUPCAKES
Instead of ordering a cake at the cake shops, me and my cousin in law decided to make cupcakes and cake as a team. We just needed to invest our effort, time and enjoyment in baking and it resulted to a lesser expense to have a Hello Kitty cake. Started baking at 5am in the morning of August 2, 2011 where we were very tired from our Davao City trip and stayed there for 3 days and 2 nights. The baking session was fast because we'll be jumping at 9:30am to proceed to the beach resort. So it was a rush quickly done baking mode.
THE INGREDIENTS:
2 kilos Cake flour, 2 kilos Confectioner sugar, 4-in-1 assorted cake coloring, 2 packs of 25grams Gelatin powder (unflavored) for the fondant icing, 2 dozens of eggs, small pack of baking powder and baking soda powder, 1 small bottle of vanilla for the flavoring taste where I chose the strawberry flavor instead of vanilla. 1 bar of butter.

THE HELLO KITTY BEACH PARTY
So, here is what the preparation's outcome. A simple but beautiful Hello Kitty party for my baby as she turned one. And everyone enjoyed the party, soaking in the beach and had fun with foods, drinks and enjoyed the simple but adorable Hello Kitty Party.
Hello Kitty Party banner. This was Angela's unused party banner during her 3rd birthday so I kept it for 2 years now and Shaniah used it for her birthday.
A simple table presentation with lots of Hello Kitty on it. Aside from cupcakes and cake, I also served spaghetti, fried chicken in pieces, "kinilaw", sashimi, grilled tuna and blue marlin belly, grilled tuna panga and vercimelli. I felt so great that everyone enjoyed the birthday party and I am very thankful that they spent time to attend even the beach location is miles away from the city of General Santos.
